Homebuying 101 Course: (It takes about one hour to complete the entire course.)
- Part 1: This course will explore ways to help build personal and financial readiness for homeownership. It will cover some of the factors to consider when deciding whether to buy a home. (15 minutes)
- Part 2: In this course you’ll learn about understanding the people that you’ll work with, planning for homeownership costs, thinking about your down-payment, and preparing for a mortgage payment. (15 minutes)
- Part 3: This course will explore pre-qualification, pre-approval review, and things to consider when working with a buyer’s agent. (10 minutes)
- Part 4: You’ve worked with a Realtor, found your dream home, and now you’re ready to submit your formal mortgage application. That’s really exciting! This course will walk you through the process of reviewing lender estimates, mortgage types, and how interest rates affect your loan payment. (10 minutes)
- Part 5: Closing on your first house is a time to celebrate! It’s the last step in buying your new home. The actual closing and paperwork can be tedious and sometimes a little overwhelming, and we’re here to help. This course will outline the items and steps to take before getting the keys to your new home. (10 minutes)
