NE PA Community Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the creation and establishment of an independent philanthropic organization, separate from the Credit Union, but sharing the Credit Union philosophy of "People Helping People."
This new Foundation will follow a mission that pledges "to promote and support the education goals of students from the NE PA Community Federal Credit Union service area through financial assistance for their post-secondary education.
The Foundation will make available financial aid to in-school students, as well as graduated students repaying educational loans. Both members and non-members of the Credit Union shall be eligible to apply for, and to receive scholarships through this philanthropy. Members of the Foundation Board include NE PA Community FCU Board Chair, David J. Piatt and President/CEO, Mark Filbert, Sonya Cole, Eugenia Eden, Dorothy Fox, Deborah Nauman, Christine Andrew, Ellen Phraner and Bettyanne Nevil.
Donations to the Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, are tax free by law and may be identified as memorials, commemorations for birthdays, anniversaries and/or other special occasions. In addition, special scholarships can be designated in the name of individuals, corporations or organizations. All donations will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged by the Foundation.
